Finishing Touches Begin

Now that our move in date is 2 weeks away, and rapidly approaching, we're working on doing some finishing touches.

This includes putting in the lights,

 and installing the countertop for the Customer Lounge Snack Bar,

as well as prepping for carpet.

In the Service Department, the Service Write-up desks are in!

Up in the Showroom, the Buick and GMC signs went up.

Excitement is high! It won't be long now!

And then there was LIGHT!

Our outdoors signs have light!

Furniture Arrives + the Latest Updates

Work continues at the new dealership, but we're finally in the home stretch!

Last week, the "Clason" was added to the building. 

It looks awesome!

Inside, some of the furniture was installed. This is the Snack Bar cabinets in the Customer Lounge.

A refrigerator will be in the space on the right.


The wood mount for the Customer Lounge TV is also in.

Around the corner, the Cashier counter was installed in the Service Department,


along with this merchandise display case. We've never had one before!

Up in the Showroom, tiling was completed around the heating/cooling vents and they're finishing up on all the grouting.

Outside, aggregate concrete was installed in the Service driveway (which was ripped out the prior week).

This is what the whole completed area looks like. Straight ahead is the Showroom ramp, and to the right is the Service Drive-in.

This week, they started pouring the concrete for the entrance sidewalk. It's been a little tricky with the rain we've been having.

Inside, the Showroom is nearing completion,

especially now that the Greeter Desk has arrived.

The rest of the furniture is now on site and waiting for carpet to go in before it is installed.

We're finally just a few weeks away from the BIG MOVE!

Big Day: Entrance Element Installation

Today was a big day at Clason Buick GMC. Perhaps the most visible element of our new building finally arrived - our new sign and Entrance Element!

Since this thing is so massive and heavy, a crane was needed to put it in place.

 

 

Someone from the sign company flew in to oversee it's installation.

 

 

 

 

This arch is the signature look of the new Buick GMC dealerships across the country. 

It looks so good!  

Lots of Exterior Work

The recent rain is causing some delays on the work outside, but it's really coming along.

The exposed aggregate on the back stairs is complete.

And they're working on the exterior walkway.

The fascia is being installed as well.

Here it is along the showroom, with black on the bottom and white on top.

The crew dug a trench for the new sprinkler system and power out to the sign.

The cement for the front entrance has been poured.

They're digging up the old cement for the new Service Drive-in.

Back inside, the showroom is nearing completion.

Down in the Service Department, the tile work was completed.

and the Cashier area was painted white

Plus, the bathrooms are almost done! These will be much bigger than our current ones, and the women's bathroom will have a Baby Changing Station.

Next up is the Entrance Element (the front entrance arch),

 which will be delivered tomorrow. We can't wait! Very soon we'll be looking like this -
